(14) Ensure down-range areas are off limits and kept clear of personnel except
for approved target details, maneuver elements, and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD).

(15) Ensure that the following items are present on all ranges when occupied for
(a) DA Pam 385-63, AK Reg 350-10 and this pamphlet.
(b) Appropriate Field Manual for the operation being conducted and
Technical Manual for weapon systems employed
(c) Range specific SOP
(d) Applicable SDZ Waiver
(e) Fire-fighting equipment
(h) Public address system or bullhorn.
(j) Range equipment (safety paddles, flashlight, compass, etc)
(16) Approximately one hour prior to the estimated completion of firing, request a
Range Control Inspector from the RCC to clear the facility
area by unit:
propellant charges
ammunition boxes
(17) Ensure that the following is policed and/or removed from the range/training
(a) Unexpended ammunition, simulators, explosives, pyrotechnics, and
(b) Expended casings, brass, metal links, packing material, and
(c) Trash
(d) Firing line, tower, latrines, and parking area
(18) Ensure that range equipment and targets are collected and transported to
the RCC for turn-in.
