2. CLOSING INSTRUCTIONS:<br />

a. Answer all questions by line number when you contact <strong>Range</strong> Control.<br />

Line 1 - Is the red range flag (red blinking light) down?<br />

Line 2 - Have weapons been cleared <strong>and</strong> rodded off the range?<br />

Line 3 - Has brass <strong>and</strong> ammo been policed up?<br />

Line 4 - Has the range or training area been policed of trash <strong>and</strong> debris?<br />

Line 5 - The total number of rounds fire on range?<br />

Line 6 - Have there been any incidents or accidents on the range or training area?<br />

Line 7 - Are any fires burning on the range or training area?<br />

Line 8 - Request <strong>Range</strong> Control Inspector; <strong>Range</strong>/TA will not be closed without<br />

inspection. You must call <strong>Range</strong> Control one (1) hour prior to closing <strong>and</strong> request a<br />

closing inspection of the range or training area. If closing after 1800 hours, <strong>Range</strong><br />

Control will inspect the <strong>Range</strong>/TA the next working day <strong>and</strong> notify the unit<br />

Comm<strong>and</strong>er if there is a problem at the <strong>Range</strong>/TA that requires correction by the<br />

unit.<br />

b. <strong>Range</strong> Control Inspector will be on site at __ ; st<strong>and</strong>by for your closing<br />

inspection.<br />

Note: After the inspector has verified range or training area condition, <strong>Range</strong> Control will answer<br />

the following question.<br />

a. <strong>Range</strong> is closed effective hours.<br />

b. Turn in your range log to the on-site range personnel or to RCC.<br />
