2. CLOSING INSTRUCTIONS:
a. Answer all questions by line number when you contact Range Control.
Line 1 - Is the red range flag (red blinking light) down?
Line 2 - Have weapons been cleared and rodded off the range?
Line 3 - Has brass and ammo been policed up?
Line 4 - Has the range or training area been policed of trash and debris?
Line 5 - The total number of rounds fire on range?
Line 6 - Have there been any incidents or accidents on the range or training area?
Line 7 - Are any fires burning on the range or training area?
Line 8 - Request Range Control Inspector; Range/TA will not be closed without
inspection. You must call Range Control one (1) hour prior to closing and request a
closing inspection of the range or training area. If closing after 1800 hours, Range
Control will inspect the Range/TA the next working day and notify the unit
Commander if there is a problem at the Range/TA that requires correction by the
unit.
b. Range Control Inspector will be on site at __ ; standby for your closing
inspection.
Note: After the inspector has verified range or training area condition, Range Control will answer
the following question.
a. Range is closed effective hours.
b. Turn in your range log to the on-site range personnel or to RCC.
