Description – Delphi’s TruckSecure is an<br />
effective fleet management tool integrated<br />
into the truck’s electrical architecture that<br />
helps reduce the possibility of cargo trucks<br />
being used to threaten homeland security.<br />
Using the Truck Productivity Computer<br />
(Truck PC) and third-party software, the<br />
system provides multiple levels of vehicle<br />
system security.<br />
Fleet Management – Truck PC is designed<br />
to fit in a standard-sized radio package and<br />
deliver the benefits of interactive speech<br />
technology, connectivity, information on<br />
demand, and enhanced entertainment to<br />
vehicles. The system integrates audio, GPS<br />
positioning, and wireless <strong>com</strong>munication<br />
through hands-free voice activation and<br />
hosts fleet management tools from<br />
MobileAria and other content providers for<br />
asset tracking, maintenance, and improved<br />
fleet asset utilization and productivity.<br />
The Truck Productivity Computer integrates audio, GPS positioning,<br />
and wireless <strong>com</strong>munication using voice activation.<br />

Commercial Vehicle Systems<br />
Homeland Security – The system can be<br />
expanded to help address the threat of<br />
unauthorized use of hazardous material<br />
carriers for terrorist activities. The multiple-<br />
layered security system ranges from driver<br />
identification protocols to programmed<br />
vehicle deceleration and engine disable.<br />
Using a GPS-based navigation and route<br />
tracking system, the vehicle’s progress on<br />
its intended route can be monitored. If<br />
the vehicle leaves its intended route or<br />
enters secured areas, the system can be<br />
programmed to gradually decelerate the<br />
vehicle to a stop and disable the engine.<br />
