The Archangel Gabriel greeted the ectoplasm Raoul
Razorbak with the deference due to a Great Initiate.
- This time for good, found he simply. After a brief confab,
the three archangels-judges

remembered with a Great Initiate, there was no need to
weighing or bargaining for a future life. This soul already
knew everything. The procedure was necessarily different.
The archangel Raphael explained briefly Raoul its merit in
previous lives had earned him the death fast enough for an
ax in the back. Its merits he had also gained access to all
knowledge he had desired, and especially to become a
Great Initiate. Time, however, was not yet come for his soul
to be transformed into pure spirit: he had too sin pride, had
allowed himself to drunkenness, had maintained impulses
for revenge.
However, facing a Great Initiate, and given the qualities that
enabled him to access this place, the custom wanted the
archangels abandon their prerogatives of judges. In the
ectoplasm Raoul Razorbak, therefore, itself decide its next
reincarnation.
