Barbie’s birthday
Tant d’Amis Luncheon Club celebrated Barbie’s (as in doll)
50th birthday at River Hills Club. The group also hosted a
40th birthday party for her 10 years ago this month. An original
1959 Barbie doll was in attendance wearing a cocktail
dress made from a Kleenex 45 years ago. Shown are members

Lowery Jr. announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Margaret Flowers Lowery, to
Dwayne Stevenson II, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Dwayne
Stevenson of Greenville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter
of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Lemuel Owen Smith Jr.
and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Coleman Lowery, all of
Jackson. Miss Lowery is a
graduate of Jackson
Preparatory School and
Belhaven College with a bachelor’s
degree in elementary
education. She was presented
by the Debutante Club of
Mississippi in 1990. She is a
co-manager of Lemuria
Bookstore, a member of the
board of the Jackson Friends of
the Library, the Hinds County
Democratic executive committee,
and the Monday Club.
The prospective bridegroom
is the grandson of Mrs. Wilber
Madison Stevenson of
Vicksburg and the late Mr.
Stevenson, and the late Mr. and

The Heritage Luncheon
Club met in March at the
Country Club of Jackson with
President Jean Coppenbarger
