Junior Miss
Christina Holy was recently named 2010
Madison County Junior Miss during the
scholarship program at Madison Central
High School. Holy was also the talent winner
and the Spirit of Junior Miss winner. Shown

Jackson and Patrick Albert
Williams of Columbus were
wed at 6 p.m., October 11 at
College Hill Presbyterian
Church in Oxford. The double
ring ceremony was officiated
by the Rev. Curtis E. Pressley
III. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Elder
Stuart. The bridegroom is the
son of Dr. and Mrs. Alan
Thorne Williams of Columbus.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a strapless
designer gown of antique
silk taffeta featuring a shirred
sweetheart neckline and natural
princess waistline from which
fell the mermaid skirt and deep
flounced hemline. She wore a
fingertip sheer veil of illusion
with a band of pearls. She carried
a handtied bouquet of button
mums, green hypericum
berries, sunflowers, and craspedia
held together with a willow
wrap. Tucked in her bouquet
was a handkerchief carried by
the bridegroom’s mother in her
own wedding, and a handkerchief
edged with lace from the
bride’s mother’s wedding
gown and embroidered with
the couple’s initials and wedding
date.
Nuptial music was presented
by Marco Devera, Emily
Dayan, and Mary Kattherine
Rebentisch, violinists; and
Catherine Carter Sledge and
David Thomas Ash, soloists.
Katherine Stuart Green, sister
of the bride, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah
Thorne Davis and Kathleen
Anne Williams, sisters of the
bridegroom; Susannah Knight
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Edward
Glaser of Durham, N.C.,
announce the engagement of
their daughter, Kathleen Mary
Glaser, to Samuel Webster
Belknap, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Amos Belknap.
Miss Glaser was graduated
from Washington and Lee
University in Lexington, Va., in
2006 and is associated with the
Carolina Ballet as manager of
the annual fund.
Belknap was graduated from
Washington and Lee
University in 2005 and will

ringbearer.
Hayley Jane Hayes was the
bride’s proxy. Program attendants
were Catherine Swift
Addison and Elizabeth Dykes
Martin. Scripture reader was
Elizabeth Stephenson Bohlke.
Following the ceremony, the
bride’s family hosted an outdoor
reception at the
Barksdale-Isom Place in downtown
Oxford.
On the eve of the wedding, a
rehearsal dinner was given by
the bridegroom’s parents at the
University Club of Oxford for
the wedding party, family, and
friends.
Following a wedding trip to
Barnsley Gardens and Peter
Island, British Virgin Islands,
the couple is at home in
Chattanooga.
