“Parker is an outstanding defensive catcher with a lot <strong>of</strong> maturity behind the plate. He is<br />
one <strong>of</strong> our most polished players defensively and <strong>of</strong>fensively.” Coach Welker<br />
At CSI: An honorable-mention Region 18 selection, Parker star ted in 37 <strong>of</strong><br />
the 48 games as a freshman. He hit .255 with 20 RBI. At catcher, he threw<br />
out 12 baserunners.<br />
Before CSI: Parker star ted all four years at catcher for the Park City<br />
High School baseball team.<br />
As a freshman, Parker earned honorable mention all-state honors and followed<br />
it up with first team all-state awards as a sophomore, junior and senior.<br />
In 2006, Parker was named defensive player <strong>of</strong> the year for his high<br />
school. In 2007, he earned <strong>of</strong>fensive player <strong>of</strong> the year distinction. His last two<br />
seasons, Parker was selected as his high school’s MVP.<br />

My favorite motivational saying is: “Don’t tell them that you can do it, show them<br />

Tyler Vavra<br />
At CSI: Tyler Vavra pitched in 17 games for the Golden Eagles his freshman<br />
season. He finished with an ERA <strong>of</strong> 2.83 with 70 innings pitched. He was<br />
named to the Region 18 honorable mention team.<br />
Before CSI: Tyler attended the Vauxhall High School <strong>Baseball</strong> Academy in<br />
Alber ta. As a junior, he posted an 1.83 ERA with the most strike outs on the<br />
team.<br />
He competed in the Alber ta summer games and the Western Canada<br />
Games, leading his team to gold medals in each. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the silver<br />
medal team at the Canada Summer Games.<br />

Interesting Fact: I was drafted to play hockey in the WHL when I was 14.<br />
I’m Not Good At: computers.<br />
A one-word description <strong>of</strong> myself is: loyal.<br />
