2008-09: Botterbusch was a fourtime
All-American at the NCAA
Division III Championships and
Empire 8 Swimmer of the Year as a
senior. She earned first team honors
in the 100-yard breaststroke (third
place) and on the 400-yard medley
relay team (sixth place) at nationals.
Botterbusch also earned All-American in the 200 breast
and 200 medley relay. Botterbusch won UNYSCSA and Empire 8 championships
in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard medley relay and was part
of school records in four events. She additionally earned all-state recognition in
three other events en route to being named Swimmer of the Meet. Botterbusch
was a four-time honoree as Empire 8 Athlete of the Week. 2007-08: Botterbusch
added six more All-American honors to her resume, capped by a season-best
eighth-place finish with the school-record-setting 200-yard medley relay team.
She also set school records with the 400-yard medley relay (15th at nationals)
and in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke (placing ninth and 13th,
respectively at the NCAA meet). Botterbusch also earned all-America recognition
with 15th-place effort in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle medley relays. She won
NYSWCAA and Empire 8 titles in both breaststroke events and all four relay
events. 2006-07: Botterbusch competed in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke
at the NCAA Championships after winning state and conference titles in those
events. She also qualified for nationals as a member of the 200- and 400-yard
medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.She also won the state and conference
title in the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay and was
named to the NYSWCAA All-Academic Team. 2005-06: Botterbusch earned
all-American honors in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, placing ninth and
11th with respective times of 1:06.19 and 2:24.63 at the NCAA Championships,
where she also competed in the 200 IM. She won NYSWCAA and Empire 8
titles in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and the 800-yard freestyle relay, and
was the conference champion in the 200-yard medley relay, helping her earn
state and conference Rookie of the Meet honors. Botterbusch was a five-time allconference
performer and was the Bombers’ leading scorer with 429.75 points.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Dallastown Area High School, Botterbusch
was coached by Richard Howley. She was a four-year letter winner and served
as team captain her senior year. Botterbusch was named Rookie of the Year
(2002) and team MVP (2004) and was a four-time all-county selection. She
was awarded the Dallastown High School Swimming Scholarship her senior
year. Personal: The daughter of Frederick and Janice Botterbusch, she is an
Occupational Therapy major.

Diving, Jr,; Dansville
2008-09: Mark ranked among
Ithaca’s top divers in her junior season
and posted the highest Bomber
score of the season on the 3-meter
board (218.30) during a first-place
finish at William Smith. She also
won the 1-meter competition in a
dual against Rochester, and finished
second on 1-meter at the Ithaca
Diving Invitational. 2007-08: Mark
was Ithaca’s top diver in her first season with the program.
She placed 12th in the 3-meter competition and 13th in the 1-meter event at
the state meet. High School: A 2006 graduate of Dansville High School, she
earned four letters as a member of the swimming & diving team. Mark was also
a member of the track & field team. Personal: A clinical health studies/physical
therapy major, she is the daughter of Kevin and Lei Mark. She is a member of
Ithaca’s track & field team, and Empire 8 champion in the pole vault.
