2008-09: Botterbusch was a fourtime<br />

All-American at the NCAA<br />

Division III Championships and<br />

Empire 8 Swimmer of the Year as a<br />

senior. She earned first team honors<br />

in the 100-yard breaststroke (third<br />

place) and on the 400-yard medley<br />

relay team (sixth place) at nationals.<br />

Botterbusch also earned All-American in the 200 breast<br />

and 200 medley relay. Botterbusch won UNYSCSA and Empire 8 championships<br />

in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard medley relay and was part<br />

of school records in four events. She additionally earned all-state recognition in<br />

three other events en route to being named Swimmer of the Meet. Botterbusch<br />

was a four-time honoree as Empire 8 Athlete of the Week. 2007-08: Botterbusch<br />

added six more All-American honors to her resume, capped by a season-best<br />

eighth-place finish with the school-record-setting 200-yard medley relay team.<br />

She also set school records with the 400-yard medley relay (15th at nationals)<br />

and in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke (placing ninth and 13th,<br />

respectively at the NCAA meet). Botterbusch also earned all-America recognition<br />

with 15th-place effort in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle medley relays. She won<br />

NYSWCAA and Empire 8 titles in both breaststroke events and all four relay<br />

events. 2006-07: Botterbusch competed in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke<br />

at the NCAA Championships after winning state and conference titles in those<br />

events. She also qualified for nationals as a member of the 200- and 400-yard<br />

medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.She also won the state and conference<br />

title in the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay and was<br />

named to the NYSWCAA All-Academic Team. 2005-06: Botterbusch earned<br />

all-American honors in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, placing ninth and<br />

11th with respective times of 1:06.19 and 2:24.63 at the NCAA Championships,<br />

where she also competed in the 200 IM. She won NYSWCAA and Empire 8<br />

titles in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and the 800-yard freestyle relay, and<br />

was the conference champion in the 200-yard medley relay, helping her earn<br />

state and conference Rookie of the Meet honors. Botterbusch was a five-time allconference<br />

performer and was the Bombers’ leading scorer with 429.75 points.<br />

High School: A 2005 graduate of Dallastown Area High School, Botterbusch<br />

was coached by Richard Howley. She was a four-year letter winner and served<br />

as team captain her senior year. Botterbusch was named Rookie of the Year<br />

(2002) and team MVP (2004) and was a four-time all-county selection. She<br />

was awarded the Dallastown High School Swimming Scholarship her senior<br />

year. Personal: The daughter of Frederick and Janice Botterbusch, she is an<br />

Occupational Therapy major.<br />

2008-09: Mark ranked among<br />

<strong>Ithaca</strong>’s top divers in her junior season<br />

and posted the highest Bomber<br />

score of the season on the 3-meter<br />

board (218.30) during a first-place<br />

finish at William Smith. She also<br />

won the 1-meter competition in a<br />

dual against Rochester, and finished<br />

second on 1-meter at the <strong>Ithaca</strong><br />

Diving Invitational. 2007-08: Mark<br />

was <strong>Ithaca</strong>’s top diver in her first season with the program.<br />

She placed 12th in the 3-meter competition and 13th in the 1-meter event at<br />

the state meet. High School: A 2006 graduate of Dansville High School, she<br />

earned four letters as a member of the swimming & diving team. Mark was also<br />

a member of the track & field team. Personal: A clinical health studies/physical<br />

therapy major, she is the daughter of Kevin and Lei Mark. She is a member of<br />

<strong>Ithaca</strong>’s track & field team, and Empire 8 champion in the pole vault.<br />
