3.15 Opportunities for reducing rejections, wastage in material,
process, resources and the drudgery in labor
The ‘Bargachia Metal Cluster’ has their limited infrastructure accept few
units; where, the chances of rejection and grade variation always occurs.
Setting up CNC & other semiautomatic machine could be better towards
quality production & to reduce rejection.
As the cluster is dealing with metal so there is less wastage of metal but
still, it could be minimized by best practice, proper wastage collection & by
recycling of waste materials.
Most of the unit who cast the metal at their own unit have traditional coal
furnace where they are not able to match quality and fast casting. Introducing
“Induction Furnace” could be high beneficial for the unit in terms of mass
production as well as their dependency over natural resources like- Coal,
Oil, Gas etc.
For reducing drudgery in labour, the cluster need to be demonstrated or
trained towards best practices and precision. Through various sensitization
& awareness programme by concern authority could be beneficial for
them.
