Community Outreach<br />
<strong>County</strong> of <strong>Los</strong> <strong>Angeles</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong> 2006-2007<br />
Community outreach is an important part of <strong>County</strong> departments’ operations,<br />
allowing the departments to meet the public and share information about their<br />
programs and projects. For the second year, departments in September<br />
participated in the Expo at the <strong>County</strong> Day at the <strong>Los</strong> <strong>Angeles</strong> <strong>County</strong> Fair, with most of<br />
the departments setting up booths along Redwood Street. Thirty booths were sponsored<br />
by departments, an increase over 2005. Some, like Health and Public Health, had<br />
several booths to highlight different programs. Among those at the event, shown from left<br />
to right on page one, were employees of the <strong>County</strong> Public Information <strong>Office</strong>, <strong>Chief</strong><br />
Administrative <strong>Office</strong>, Health Services, Public Works, California Children’s Services<br />
Medical Therapy Program, Health Services, Health Services, Human Resources, Arts
