He recently sent a post card to his co-workers in News Affairs...Our recent grammar school grads are Chief of Staff William Shaver’s son, Jeremy, who is on his way to Walter Payton College Prep, Sgt Cynthia Lance’s daughter, Lauren, who will attend St. Ignatius and PO Sue Heneghan’s son, Ryan, who was accepted into the honors program at St. Rita High School. Tara, daughter of PO Judy Obrzut, made her First Holy Communion... Civ Prette Moore is very proud of her daughter, Megan, who sang at the CAPS 10 th Anniversary celebration... Sgt Tom Argenbright and family visited California and Nevada, Civ Pat Camden and wife, Dorothy, had a very special celebration in Cancun for Valentine’s Day, PO Alicia Sanchez, hubby, Sgt Noel and children traveled to Cancun (returned with great tans and the chicken pox), Civ Donna Giambarberee visited her father in Florida, Chief of Staff William Shaver and family also vacationed in Florida. He now wants to be a part of the Pirates of the Caribbean... PO Tom Donohue and Civ Donna Killen enjoyed the green fields of Ireland, Civ Bob Buckley is telling tales of his trip to South Africa and Cmdr William O’Donnell and his wife, Ginny, enjoyed family and friends in Kentucky and Nevada... PO Valerie Allen’s son, George, was featured in Sophisticate Hair’s 19 th Anniversary Issue as a Celebrity on the Go. Be careful out there, Ron, you know how you step in things… They were replaced by Sgt Tyrone Jordan,welcome!… A new addition to the Ozog family with the birth of Madalyn… Congrats to our new grads, Sgt Phyllis Muzupappa and Bridget McLaughlin.Now we can truly say they have a BS after their names… Further congrats to Marie Lane and Janice Winbush for completing their graduate work at St. Xavier, and for being inducted into the National Honor Society… Lt Bresnahan can say he has friends in high places since his daughter is now working in the State Dept… In our sports segments, we send a warning to Tiger Woods: watch out, Sgt Pete Koconis is on your tail. His third offspring, son Kevin Daniel, arrived on April 26, and everyone is doing fine... Between trips to Las Vegas, Sgt Bill Lange managed to finish his second master’s degree—an M.B.A. from St. Xavier University. Now we’ll have to regard him as a man of brains as well as beauty. The week before, daughter Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Dominican University. If all this talk about school hasn’t bored you, you’ll be interested to know that Projects Administrator Russell Schultz was recently elected President of the Immaculate Conception School Board where his children (Jeremy and Emily) are students... Projects Administrator Matt Devine is our newest member of the landed gentry.Although he is enjoying his new Sauganash home, he had a rude awakening when he picked up the phone to report a problem to the landlord, only to realize he is the landlord... PO Aileen O’Grady had a great time in Ireland during her two-week visit. The trip included a huge family reunion, but the focus was brother Joseph O’Carroll’s 40 th birthday. (If that name looks familiar, Joseph is a detective in Area 3)... Jeff Dumas, brother of Principal Methods Analyst Pam Dumas, is currently appearing in the world premier of Stephen Sondheim’s play, “Bounce” at the Goodman Theater...The many classical music fans in the Department will be interested to know your reporter recently won the morning music quiz on radio station WFMT...We welcome an old friend, PO Barbara Feister, back to the Division...We also extend the best of luck to newlypromoted Sgt Kristin Barker, a former Division member. Richard Glasser *129/Management & Labor Affairs* Hi from MLAS. Cmdr Rosebrock and Sgt Moy’s volleyball team are off to a great start...oh well, as they say on the Northside...maybe next year!!! The delicate and unassuming Lt Mary Sarlitto and her fiancee celebrated spring break in Ireland. They were glad to get home to dry out!! In March, Sgt Bill Marose spent two weeks in 86 degree weather in Florida, and came home to three inches of snow. Spring is here!... Since she has become a US citizen, Labor Specialist Rong Rong Su’s command of the English language has expanded. Let’s just say we can’t repeat half the stuff she says!! Congrats to the Moy- Bartosik family.Their niece will be representing the United States at the Summer Olympic Games in Greece in 2004... After her recent visit to the hair salon, Labor Specialist JoAnne Marshall is in the running for the Rod Stewart look alike contest. Employment for Chicago area tow-truck drivers has slowed down... AAIII Helen Bradshaw-Hasan is tooling around in a new car... Labor Specialist Jim Karagianes went to New Orleans for Mardi- Gras and no bond money was required!! And thank you to everyone who sponsored her with faith that she would make the walk! (And even more faith to those who believed that this reporter would make it also.)…Wedding bells will be ringing for our Chaplain Sharon Ellis, choosing a spectacular date of the 4 th of July!
