eight kilometers of sub-arterial roads and eighty<br />

kilometers of collector streets will be improved<br />

with road markings, sign boards, pedestrian<br />

barriers etc.,<br />

The road marking has helped in systematic movement of traffic as given below,<br />

1) The lane markings have helped the traffic to move in proper lanes.<br />

2) The centerline marking with cats eye has helped the drivers to see the centerline during<br />

night times.<br />

3) The edge line markings have helped the traffic to clearly see the edge of the road.<br />

4) The pedestrian markings have helped in the safe crossing of pedestrians.<br />

But still a lot of road markings needs to be done because there are many roads where there are<br />

no markings in different parts of the Bangalore and it is very dangerous. In order to effectively<br />

en<strong>for</strong>ce lane discipline, we need to make sure that all our roads have proper lane markings.<br />
