3.2.5 Surveillance Cameras<br />
Totally 680 surveillance cameras should have been installed as per Strategic Operations Plan in<br />
different phases but only 99 Surveillance cameras were installed as shown in the Table 3.6.<br />
These cameras have helped the Traffic Management Centre to monitor and better manage the<br />
traffic at different junctions. Out of the 99 surveillance cameras installed, some of the cameras<br />
have been removed because of metro project. As per Traffic Management Centre (TMC) 179<br />
cameras have been installed out of which 11 cameras have been removed due to BBMP, BDA,<br />
Expressway, Underpass work etc., On an average 125 cameras will be operating as per TMC.<br />
Surveillance cameras has helped in monitoring the traffic and also helped in catching traffic<br />
violators.<br />
