The Kenmare river is a long and
narrow, south-west facing bay. It is a
deep, drowned glacial valley
characterised by ancient red
sandstone bedrock forming reefs
along the middle of the bay
throughout its length. The banks of
the river are abundant with mature
vegetation consisting of Alder, Willow
and Ash.
River View extends along the
northern bank of the fast flowing,
clean waters of the Sheen River.

The river bank forms a clearing in the
lush woodland which provides a
natural platform for enjoying the river
and the mature trees.
The 21 detached River View houses are
nestled into the mature woodland
overlooking the flood plain and the
river. The houses on the eastern
extreme of the site, located within
close proximity to the river, enjoy the
spectacular sounds and views of the
rushing waters of the falls and
tranquil salmon spawning pools.
