Inupiat carver Larry Ahvakana’s fi rst art education
came from his Inupiat culture in Alaska; his second
at the Rhode Island School of Design. His current
work in wood, stone, and glass is the work of a
contemporary Native master artist.

NORTHWEST PRINTMAKERS
Printmakers – people who work with ink and
presses – already have a demanding process,
whether they create blockprints, monotypes, or
etchings. For this exhibition they do all that and
in color.

work we show this month will be able to draw, paint, and take great
photographs for years to come. BAC’s annual Mixed Nuts show allows
us to enjoy their fresh vision of the world.
