First Assignment-Know Ye, that We have assigned you and each and every of you, to be Our<br />
Justices to keep Our Peace in Our <strong>State</strong> of Western Australia and its Dependencies, either alone or with<br />
any one or more of Our Justices that hereafter shall be appointed in Our said <strong>State</strong> and its Dependencies,<br />
and to keel) and cause to be kept all laws, for the preservation of the Peace, and for the quiet rule and good<br />
government of Our people, in Our said <strong>State</strong> and its Dependencies according to the form and effect of the<br />
same, and to punish all persons offending against then, or any of them, in the said <strong>State</strong> and its Dependencies,<br />
as by the said lacvs is provided, nail to cause to conic before you all persons within Our said <strong>State</strong> and its<br />
Dependencies ivho USC threats to any of Our People, to find security for keeping the peace or for their good<br />

one or more of such Justices to be appointed as aforesaid, to have, exercise, anvh discharge all other the<br />
powers, authorities, and duties which under or by virtue of any law of Our Realm or of Our said <strong>State</strong><br />
helonu or appertain to the office of .lustice of the Peace iii or for Our said <strong>State</strong>.<br />

keep aid rouse to he kept the peace and all laws of Our Realm and of Our said <strong>State</strong>, and that at certain<br />
ilnys amid places duly appointed for these purposes, you make inquiries into the premises, and hear and determine<br />
all and singular the matters aforesaid, and perform and fulfil the duties aforesaid, doing therein<br />
what is just according to the laws of Our Realm and of Our said <strong>State</strong>: And we comniand Our Sheriff and<br />
other officers of Our said <strong>State</strong> to aid you by all lawful means in the performance and clue execution of the<br />
