Setting up your Digital Box with no SCART socket on your TV - continued
5 Connect the power cable
• Make sure the mains outlet is switched off.
Connect the power supply into the mains
outlet.
• Insert the small power cable plug into the
'5V DC IN' socket on the Digital Box.

6 Tune your TV to the Digital Box
• Switch on your TV.
• Switch on the mains outlet for the Digital Box. The Box’s
red light should show.
• Press [POWER] on your Box remote. The Box’s green light
should show.
• Select an unused channel
on your TV. If you have a
VCR, make sure your VCR
is also switched on.
• Tune the unused channel
so that you can see your
Digital Box's 'Start screen'
- similar to the one shown.
Refer to your TV user guide for tuning advice if required.
If you cannot see the ‘Start screen’ after attempting
to tune your TV - STOP HERE and turn to the first
entry in the ‘General Problem Solving’ section on
page 19.
Once you can see the ‘Start screen’ ...
• Store the new channel settings (if required - some TVs will
store this automatically).
• Your chosen TV channel is now 'tuned' to the Digital Box.
Use this channel whenever you want to watch digital TV.
7 Tune your VCR (if required) to the Digital Box
• Select the TV channel that you normally use to watch the
VCR. Make sure that there is no tape playing.
• Select an unused channel on your VCR.
• Tune the unused channel on your VCR so that you can see
your Digital Box's 'Start screen' - similar to the one shown.
Refer to your VCR user guide for tuning advice if required.
• Store the new channel settings. Refer to your VCR user
guide if required.
• If you cannot see the picture from the Digital Box, please
refer to the problem solving section towards the end of this
guide.
You are now ready to tune in to the digital TV service.
