Dubai Women’s College wins Dubai Quality Appreciation Program
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai
Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, awarded Dubai Women’s College (DWC) with Dubai Quality Appreciation Program
(DQAP) in recognition for its excellence in education. The award ceremony was held on March
14th at the Grand Hayat Hotel where 13 companies from different industries in Dubai won the
Dubai Quality Award (DQA) . DWC is one of two colleges, along with Dubai Medical College
for Girls, which won the DQAP that is provided to organizations committed to excellence and
are currently implementing quality initiatives within their organization.
Insight Dubai 2007
More than 50 Emirati and international
students participated in Insight Dubai,
an annual conference hosted and organized
by Dubai Women’s College.
The third Insight Dubai, held from April
8th to 12th, attracted students from all over
the world who came together to discuss l
eadership, global politics and cross-cultural
communication in interactive sessions. The
conference also offered two main workshops:
one on Sharia’ (Islamic) law and the other
on equal representation of women.
Student Parliament election
Dubai women’s College held its second
student parliament election on April 19th.
Ayesha Shukrallah, a year two Pharmacy
student, took the first position as President
followed by Asma Ahmed, a year two
Communication Technology student, as
a Vice President and Ayesha Al Marri,
a year two Pharmacy student, took the
third position as a secretary.
DWC and international students participate
in Insight Dubai Group
