9.0 ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF PREFERRED SCHEME
The independent consultants to the preliminary stage of the Environmental Impact
Study also assessed the impacts of the proposed scheme in the context of their
individual expertise.
An outline of their findings and conclusions is summarised in this Chapter 9.0, which
assesses the impacts of the preferred scheme on:
Human Beings (under the headings Traffic, Socio-Economic Affects, Planning &
Environmental Impact Statement 105

Development, Construction, Traffic Management and Village Streetscapes), Flora
and Fauna;
Soil, Water, Air, Climatic Factors and the Landscape;
Material Assets (under the headings Property, Agriculture, Bloodstock),
Architecture and Archaeological Heritage and the Cultural Heritage;
The inter-relationship between the above factors.
There were no particular difficulties encountered in compiling the information for the
Environmental Impact Statement.
