9.22 INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
N7 Naas Road Widening & Interchanges Scheme
The design team with the assistance of the specialist environmental consultants, each
one expert on their chosen environmental field, worked together to identify the
preferred scheme for the N7 Naas Road improvement and assess the impact of the
preferred scheme on the environment.
In order to establish a working relationship between the relevant specialist
environmental consultants, the design team of the Kildare National Roads Design Office,
having previously established a working relationship with each specialist environmental
consultant, brought together all the specialist environmental consultants at a meeting
on the 27 th March 2000.
Subsequent to this meeting, the appropriate grouping of specilialist environmental
consultants met to discuss issues which were relevant to that environmental grouping.
Table 9.22.1 shows where the inter-relationships between the various environmental
factors were taken into consideration when compiling the EIS.
While all the environmental factors are inter-related to some extent, the significant
interaction and inter-dependencies are considered under each topic in their relevant
section within the EIS, giving proposed mitigation measures where appropriate.
