4.1.8 Exclusion criteria<br />

Pati<strong>en</strong>ts with very atypical profiles were excluded in order to id<strong>en</strong>tify common traits in<br />

the follow-up of the populations who had rehabilitation. Details relating to the<br />

exclusions are giv<strong>en</strong> in App<strong>en</strong>dix 16. The causes for exclusion are as follows.<br />

4.1.8.1 Surgical procedures excluded for insuffici<strong>en</strong>t data relating to the rehabilitation<br />

Surgical procedures for persons who do not b<strong>en</strong>efit from the coverage of<br />

“minor risks” by health insurance<br />

Restrictions on reimbursem<strong>en</strong>t may influ<strong>en</strong>ce the type of rehabilitation. Some people<br />

are not <strong>en</strong>titled to “minor risks” i.e. do not have compulsory insurance coverage o for<br />

PT or PRM, except wh<strong>en</strong> hospitalised or suffering from E-listed disorders, or in relation<br />

to childbirth (PT). These pati<strong>en</strong>ts are likely to opt for rehabilitation treatm<strong>en</strong>t with<br />

PRM. Complete information is therefore not available in relation to their whole<br />

rehabilitation, in particular on an outpati<strong>en</strong>t basis.<br />

There are not many pati<strong>en</strong>ts in this situation. These pati<strong>en</strong>ts are more oft<strong>en</strong> treated by<br />

PRM (p-value Chi²
