ext<strong>in</strong>guished or to cont<strong>in</strong>ue the checklist. This step is placed early <strong>in</strong> the checklist to prevent escalation of the event.<br />

9 Rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g m<strong>in</strong>imal essential manufacturer action steps (do not meet <strong>in</strong>itial step criteria) but are probably ignition sources<br />

based on historical fleet data or analysis.<br />

Rationale Additional manufacturer action steps that do not meet the “Initial actions” criteria outl<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> the SFF philosophy. For<br />

example, steps that make the cab<strong>in</strong> dark or may <strong>in</strong>terfere with source identification. No further assessment should be<br />

made prior to diversion<br />

rem<strong>in</strong>ded to review considerations that may affect cont<strong>in</strong>ued flight operations <strong>and</strong> decisions. Operational considerations<br />

may vary by airplane model <strong>and</strong> may be lengthy so should be provided outside of the checklist.<br />
