This week in the bulletin there is a
diagram of the Prayer Labyrinth. It shows you
how to start and finish. There are also some
websites to help you pray. This Prayer Labyrinth
can be a place of prayer and peace.
FYI - 20 years ago a family gave me
money to visit the Holy Land. Before I could go,
war broke out and my trip got cancelled. Well,
the opportunity came up again, and I am
going to the Holy Land! Next Sunday, May 12, I
will be around for Masses in the morning, but I
leave that afternoon. This is a 10 day
pilgrimage so I will be praying for all of you at
each site. I am looking forward to see where
Jesus walked and taught. Keep me in your
prayers.
Also, in the bulletin you will see a flyer
about a cruise next year for my 60th birthday. I
have never been on a cruise and people have
been pushing me to experience one. So, if you
are interested, check out the flyer.
VISIT FROM ARCHBISHOP LORI FOR
LABYRINTH DEDICATION
On Friday, April 12, Archbishop Lori visited to
celebrate a special Mass with us, and to
dedicate the new prayer tool on our campus -
a prayer labyrinth. This year, our school
students have been taught a new way of
prayer involving the labyrinth. Each stop along
the path of a labyrinth allows you to think
about the conflict you are trying to
overcome. Once you reach the center, you
surrender yourself and your conflict over to
God, and God walks out with you, ready to
face the problem. The labyrinth was
dedicated to Xavia Pirozzi, a former student
who passed away one year ago. Xavia's triplet
siblings are eighth grade students at our school,
as is her third grade sister.
