in the production of several commodities.
Grains, minerals and animal proteins are a dependable
source of export receipts and hard currency inflows.
More importantly, abundant commodities provide a low
cost supply of raw materials for the local industry.
Commodity dominate Brazilian stock market indices
( 40%) but services account for over 60% of GDP.
