1.3.5. I/O Expansion Module for the Dorado 4100
PCI-Based I/O Hardware
For the Dorado 4100, the I/O Expansion Module contains the components necessary
to connect the ClearPath 4100 cell to the PCIOP-E. Only PCIOP-Es are to be used in the
rack. The I/O Expansion Module is 3U high and has five 133 MHz PCI-X slots. Due to
peak band pass limitations, only four of the five slots are used.
The following figure shows the basic connection configuration:

The IOPs in the I/O Expansion Module each connect to a separate PCI Channel Module.
