(57) Abstract:<br />
(EN): Polymer foams and films for delivery of therapeutic agents to and through nasal, oral or vaginal mucosa and cornified or<br />
non-cornified epithelium of labia and scrotum. Polymer foams or absorbable or non-absorbable films containing a therapeutic<br />
agent incorporated therein wherein said agent is released from said foams or films upon placement of said foam or film on the<br />
surface epithelium of nasal, oral, or vaginal labia or scrotum. The foam or the film has a controllable rate of gelling, swelling and<br />
degradation and is preformed into a device or is applied as a coating to a surface of a more complex drug delivery system.<br />
(FR): L'invention concerne des mousses et des films polymères pour une distribution d'agents thérapeutiques dans et à travers la<br />
muqueuse nasale, orale ou vaginale, et l'épithélium corné ou non corné des lèvres génitales et du scrotum. L'invention concerne des<br />
mousses polymères ou des films absorbables ou non absorbables contenant un agent thérapeutique renfermé à l'intérieur de ceux-ci.<br />
L'agent thérapeutique est libéré à partir de ces mousses ou de ces films lors du placement de la mousse ou de film sur l'épithélium
de surface d'une muqueuse nasale, orale ou vaginale, sur les lèvres génitales ou sur le scrotum. La mousse ou le film présente une<br />
vitesse commandable de gélification, de gonflement et de dégradation, et est préformé pour former un dispositif, ou est appliqué en<br />
