Steer Asymmetry
In certain vehicles, the hydraulic steering system is
configured in a manner in which the vehicle does not steer
the same in each direction. The end result of this situation
is that the vehicle consistently steers to one side of the
A—B line. Steering Asymmetry is a value that can be
Steering Asymmetry Value Calculation
Determine if steering asymmetry exists by:
1. Turn steering wheel to full left position
2. Count steering wheel revolutions to turn full right
3. Count steering wheel revolutions to turn full left
4. If the number of revolutions right is not equal to the
number of revolutions left, steering asymmetry is used.
