This is what I will be looking for when I evaluate you and your work:<br />
1. Effort: Did you push yourself beyond what you thought possible?<br />
2. Work meets requirements: Does the work fulfill objectives/criteria stated at<br />
introduction of project?<br />
3. Innovation of design: Creativity/uniqueness of idea and development<br />
4. Craftsmanship: Is work done neatly? Is there attention to detail?<br />
5. Work done on time: Is work done on due date given at introduction?<br />
Goals for this course:<br />
1. Develop and expand your aesthetic perception (how you view art).<br />
2. Develop and expand what you know about art and your skills to express your<br />
ideas imaginatively (verbally and technically).<br />
3. Gain knowledge of historical and cultural developments in art and various ways<br />
for looking at them.<br />
4. Learn and improve craftsmanship.<br />
5. Make connections to other cultures and career possibilities.<br />
LAB DONATION<br />
Over the course of the year, students will be provided with a wide variety of art materials<br />
to use, many of which will be theirs to keep. To help cover the cost of these materials,<br />
parents may voluntarily choose to give a $20 donation each semester. Checks can be<br />
made out to <strong>Sunny</strong> <strong>Hills</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong>, or the donation can be made in cash.<br />
