rain)<br />
• Organic aerosols – from combustion of fossil fuels<br />
(gasoline, coal) and biomass (forest fires and agricultural<br />
burning)<br />
• Black carbon – also called soot; the black stuff from<br />
diesel engines and other combustion<br />
• Sea salt<br />
• Mineral dust – windblown dust<br />
