Segment group 25 : LIN-PIA-IMD-MEA-QTY- PCD-ALI-DTM-MOA-GIN-GIR<br />
-QVA-DOC-PAI-FTX-SG25A-SG26-SG27-SG28-SG29-SG32<br />
-SG33-SG34-SG38-SG44-SG46-SG47-SG48-SG50<br />
A group of segments providing details of the individual ordered items.<br />
<strong>Eurofer</strong> has decided to use only the segments LIN, PIA, IMD, MEA, DOC, FTX,<br />
and the segments groups SG25A,SG28, SG29, SG34, SG44, SG46 and SG48. To<br />
cover the need of <strong>Eurofer</strong> to give product detail specification the segment group<br />
SG25A is added after the segment FTX.<br />
Segment LIN, Line item<br />
A segment identifying the line item by the line number and additionally,<br />
identifying the item number within the order. Other product identification<br />
numbers e.g. part number can be specified within the following PIA segment.<br />
Segment PIA, Additional product identification<br />
A segment providing additional identification to the product specified in the LIN<br />
segment group, e.g. Buyers product identification number, Buyers product group,<br />
etc.<br />
Segment IMD, Item description<br />
A segment <strong>for</strong> describing the product being ordered as well as product<br />
characteristics and the basic product. This segment should be used <strong>for</strong> products<br />
that cannot be identified by a product code or a material number.<br />
In the steel and iron industry this segment can be used to give a detailed<br />
description of the products, the steel grade, the general description of the product<br />
group or the requested production process.<br />
Segment MEA, Measurements<br />
A segment enabling the physical measurements of the ordered item to be specified<br />
where this is required <strong>for</strong> full identification of the product ordered. For example<br />
this segment can be used to specify the dimensions or the weights and diameters<br />
of the product.<br />
Segment DOC, Document/message details<br />
A segment to indicate that a certificate/declaration of origin is required <strong>for</strong> the<br />
ordered article.<br />
Segment FTX, Free text<br />
A segment with free text in<strong>for</strong>mation, in coded or clear <strong>for</strong>m, used when<br />
additional in<strong>for</strong>mation is needed but cannot be accommodated within other<br />
segments. This segment can be used to give production- and shipping remarks.<br />
