Operate DIGA Playback and Recording with
Only the VIERA Remote Control
Use the VIERA remote control unit to operate your DIGA DVD recorder. Press
the VIERA Link button on the VIERA remote, select "Recorder" from the VIERA
Link screen, then choose playback, record or other functions from the menu.
It's that easy.

Press the VIERA Link button on the VIERA remote, then select "Video Camera"
from the VIERA Link screen. Now you can control play, stop, fast-forward and
other functions using the navigation controls and playback panel.

HDMI Input
For future expandability and ease of use, VIERA comes equipped with three*
HDMI connector slots, one on the front and two on the rear. Use the rear panel
connector for your DVD Recorder, BD/DVD player or set-top box (STB), and
use the front connector to hook up a digital video camera
and view images you've just recorded.

Just insert an SD Memory Card into the card slot of your VIERA, and
you're ready for awesome, large-screen viewing of digital photos or
AVCHD-standard motion images** that you've recorded. VIERA
supports the large-capacity 4-GB SDHC cards that are now available.
*PZ/PY700 series, PX/PV700 series, TH-65PX/PV600 and LXD/LX700 series only.
**Only the PZ700/PY700 series are compatible with AVCHD-standard motion images.

What's SDHC?
SDHC is a new standard for memory cards with a
storage capacity of 2 GB or more. The standard was
established in 2006 by the SD Association. The SDHC card offers
up to 4-GB storage capacity, exceeding the current SD Memory
Card's capacity limit of 2 GB, while remaining about the same
size as a postage stamp.
WHAT’S AVCHD?
AVCHD is a standard developed jointly
by Sony and Panasonic for HD digital video cameras.
Using highly efficient codec technologies, it records 1080i
high-definition signals onto media such as 8-cm DVD discs and
SD/SDHC Memory Cards. AVCHD allows an HD video camera to
make long-time recordings of high-density video information
onto a DVD disc or SD/SDHC Memory Card.
PC Input
VIERA is equipped with a PC input terminal. Connect a PC that is also
connected to the Internet, and you can surf or view content you've downloaded
on VIERA's big, beautiful screen.
For business users, the PC input lets you take advantage of VIERA's big
screen and exceptional viewing quality in presentations and training
programmes.

The buttons are large, easy to press, and laid out for optimum ease of use.
The buttons also have colours and markings that make
them easy for anyone to identify and use.
