As seen in the above graph, the most<br />
commonly used IT system is Management<br />
Information Systems (MIS), followed by<br />
Customer Re<strong>la</strong>tionship Management (CRM).<br />
The number of responding institutions<br />
that are currently using online software is<br />
quite low. Only one quarter of responding<br />
institutions use on-line client col<strong>la</strong>boration<br />
and 18% are using on-line credit applications<br />
(18%). A majority of responding institutions<br />
(59%) are using some type of MIS system and<br />
34% are using CRM systems.<br />
6.2 Rating<br />
Institutions were asked what percentage<br />
of their needs were covered by the respective<br />
software systems and to rate the software<br />
from 1 to 5 with 1 being “Excellent” and 5<br />
being “Very bad”.<br />

Almost all institutions that that use MIS<br />
consi<strong>de</strong>r more than 75% of their needs to<br />
be covered by their software and rated their<br />
MIS as excellent or very good. The most<br />
commonly used MIS program is Credinfo,<br />
used by 10% of responding organisations, and<br />
used exclusively in Hungary. The majority<br />
of institutions (58%) that use CRM also<br />
respon<strong>de</strong>d that more than 75% of their needs<br />
were covered, and it was rated as excellent<br />
or very good by nearly every responding<br />
institution.<br />
6.3 Cost<br />
In spite of MIS being the most utilized<br />
software, it is also the most expensive, with<br />
an average monetary value of 9,300 euros,<br />
followed by CRM with an average value of<br />
4,000 euros.<br />
