The <strong>2008</strong> and <strong>2009</strong> <strong>EMN</strong> Survey was <strong>la</strong>unched by the Fundación Nantik Lum team<br />
on behalf of the European <strong>Microfinance</strong> Network (<strong>EMN</strong>). Fundación Nantik Lum<br />
is a member of <strong>EMN</strong> and has been appointed as coordinator of the <strong>EMN</strong> Research<br />
Working Group for the periods 2007-<strong>2008</strong> and <strong>2009</strong>-2011; the <strong>la</strong>tter period coinci<strong>de</strong>s<br />
with the strategic p<strong>la</strong>n of the Research Working Group.<br />
<strong>EMN</strong> and Fundación Nantik Lum would like to extend their appreciation to the individuals<br />
and agencies that col<strong>la</strong>borated in the distribution of survey questionnaires and collection of<br />
survey data in Belgium, Bulgaria, Fin<strong>la</strong>nd, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Nether<strong>la</strong>nds,<br />
Norway, Po<strong>la</strong>nd, Romania, Swe<strong>de</strong>n, Switzer<strong>la</strong>nd and the United Kingdom. The high response<br />
rate to this edition of the sector survey is due to their efforts, for which <strong>EMN</strong> and Fundación<br />
Nantik Lum are grateful.<br />
