course is designed as an overview of key concepts, bookkeeping practices, and terminology<br />
that will help you better utilize bookkeeping software (i.e. QuickBooks, Peachtree, and<br />
others). It is not meant to teach you how to become a bookkeeper. Topics include the<br />
accounting cycle, starting with an introduction of basic accounting terms and record<br />
keeping rules. You will be introduced to double-entry accounting (debits and <strong>credit</strong>s);<br />
cash versus accrual accounting; chart of accounts and ledgers; and accounts receivable<br />
and accounts payable accounting. You’ll also review how to reconcile your bank account<br />
