According to statements by the
Association of the German Trade
Fair Industry, (Auma) in Berlin, the
times of stagnant turnovers are
obviously over for expo organizers
seated in Germany. Preliminary

space is today at more than 1.9 m square meters. However, he pointed out,
growth rates are lower than they used to be. British organizers have developed
into the main competitors especially in booming markets such as China, Russia,
India and the United Arab Emirates. They organize more expos in each one of
these markets than their German counterparts. The leading German expo
organizers outside Germany are the trade fair companies based in Frankfurt,
Düsseldorf, and Munich. (ch) www.auma-messen.de
