These needs are therefore reflected in the choice of Sub-committees. The Subcommittees<br />
of the NAC are Information & Communication, Legal <strong>and</strong> Ethical,<br />
<strong>Resource</strong> Mobilisation, Advocacy <strong>and</strong> International Development Partners.<br />
In addition to the Sub-committees, the National AIDS Committee decentralizes<br />
the <strong>HIV</strong>/AIDS response through the work of PAAs across the Isl<strong>and</strong>. These parish<br />
associations reflect the structure of the NAC <strong>and</strong> provide a multi - disciplinary<br />
community based response to the needs of persons infected <strong>and</strong> affected by <strong>HIV</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
AIDS. The PAAs also act as local representative bodies that inform <strong>and</strong> contribute<br />
to translating ideas <strong>and</strong> building policy enabling the work of the NAC to be<br />
more realistic.<br />
