The Egyptian National Competitiveness Council - ENCC, is Egypt’s first non-governmental organization, led by<br />

a group of prominent businessmen and members of the academic community, to tackle the issue of national<br />

competitiveness. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for all Egyptians, by being an efficient and effective<br />

platform to bring together stakeholders — business, government, academia and civil society — to raise awareness<br />

and advocate policies that enhance competitiveness.<br />

The National Competitiveness Council of the Dominican Republic (CNC) is a public institution with a mixed<br />

(private-public) board presided by the president of the country, which leads and coordinates national public<br />

policy on competitiveness and clusters. CNC promotes clusters in tourism, agro industry and other industrial<br />

sectors (such as construction, furniture, etc.), and also works towards improving the business climate in the<br />

Dominican Republic to enhance competitiveness (through institutional and legal reforms, public-private<br />

partnerships, and other).<br />
