HESSENMETALL Cluster initiative was founded in 2006, at the Darmstadt University of Technology, in the Rhine-<br />
Main area in Germany. The chair for cluster and value-chain management is endowed by HESSENMETALL - the<br />
employer association of the electronics and mechanics industry in Germany. The initiative is researching and<br />
educating in the fields of clusters and networks and actively managing a cluster-initiative that includes 4 clusters<br />
(automotive, aviation, mechatronics and plastics). In addition, it offers high quality cluster-services to existing<br />
clusters and supports the initiation of new clusters.<br />

The ICT Cluster Bern, Switzerland was founded on 13.12.1996 and it is a collaboration between companies,<br />
training institutions, trade associations and local authorities with the aim of strengthening the telecommunications<br />
and IT sector in our economic region. It has about 200 members including companies (suppliers and users),<br />
Government, Education, ICT-organisations. The cluster is organised as a public private partnership.<br />
