CAMPING
The rocky mountains were named after the
heroic boxer played by Sly Stallone in the famous
film series – he was rumoured to have been born
there and raised by a pack of wolves. When
photographed from space, they are said to bear
a striking resemblance to russell Crowe's beard.
But in all seriousness, the rocky mountains
boast some of the world’s most impressive
scenery. Stretching 4,800kms from Canada all
the way down to New mexico, they are home to
an abundance of wildlife and are a playground
for anyone who relishes wild, beautiful and
unpredictable outdoor environments. Their sheer
natural beauty has the capacity to transform the
most passionate pessimist into an outrageous
optimist, the most logical conformist into the
most free spirited dreamer and those who
worship the non-stop energy of the city will
soon come to realise that things are way better
out in the rampant open air. This trip focuses on
the northern swathe running through the great
states of montana, Wyoming, idaho, Nevada and
California - you’ll camp each night under the
glittering galaxy and love every minute spent in
the great American outdoors.
