2011 Superintendent’s Luncheon<br />
The second annual Superintendent’s Luncheon was held<br />
on October 11 at Windsor Park in Mishawaka. The luncheon<br />
continues a <strong>PHM</strong>EF tradition, which grew from a breakfast<br />
event, of having P-H-M Superintendent Dr. Jerry Thacker<br />
give the State of the School Corporation address. The 2011<br />
Superintendent’s Luncheon was presented by Teacher’s Credit Union.<br />
Dr. Thacker shared the accomplishments of the previous school year<br />
and his vision for the 2011-12 school year. He listed his major goals as<br />

development 5) value and celebrate diversity and 6) provide exemplary<br />
customer service and positive public relations. In facing the challenge of<br />
increased competition with school vouchers, charter and private schools,<br />
P-H-M welcomed 440 students through the non-resident enrollment program.<br />
Combatting a flat line funding for 2011, Dr. Thacker noted P-H-M<br />
focused on three main areas to generate revenue: non-resident enrollment,<br />
energy conservation and increased vocational education funding.<br />
