5 Program Implementation Strategy<br />
5.1 Introduction<br />
This section provides a recommended strategy for the Town to implement the LAP. Information<br />
is provided on:<br />
• Program delivery and resource requirements;<br />
• Implementation risk management;<br />
• A performance measurement framework;<br />
• Reporting; and<br />
• On-going stakeholder engagement.<br />
5.2 Program Delivery<br />
As mentioned in the previous section, the various initiatives in the LAP will be delivered in four<br />
key program areas:<br />
• Go for Green<br />
• Alternative Fuels and Green Energy<br />
• Energy Saver Buildings<br />
• Energy Efficiency Education and Services<br />
Delivery details for each of these programs are outlined in the following pages. Specifically, the<br />
following information is provided for each program area:<br />
• A brief description<br />
• A summary of program objectives<br />
• A list of program components (more detail on each of the components is provided in<br />
Appendix 1).<br />
• A proposed timeline, and<br />
Capital costs & resource requirements (cost estimates for resource requirements are also<br />
estimated 14 ).<br />
14 Resourcing costs are estimated by assuming that program staff involved in carrying out these tasks will either be<br />
coordinators or managers, with average annual salaries of $35,000 and $50,000 respectively).<br />
