CAMP WAUCONDA<br />
Camp <strong>Wauconda</strong> offers a full-time and part-time format with age-appropriate<br />
activities such as arts & crafts, swimming, games, parties, field trips once a week,<br />
theme days, entertainers and much more! Camp is for children entering grades<br />
1-8 in the fall and kids are grouped by grade so they are always interacting<br />
within their own age group. Our staff to camper ratio is 1:10 for 1st-4th grade and<br />
1:15 for 5th-8th grade. A session is 2 weeks and a new theme is incorporated into<br />
the activities, projects and games. Come join the fun!<br />
CLUB (Before and After School Program)<br />
The Park District’s Club program provides a safe childcare environment that<br />
meets the physical and emotional needs of children as well as the needs of the<br />
parents. The program is available during the school year, Monday through Friday,<br />
with convenient hours of operation. Children participate in a variety of activities<br />
supervised by qualified staff. Daily activities include crafts, games, sports, free<br />
time, small group activities as well as a quiet space for homework. Club is held at<br />
<strong>Wauconda</strong> Grade School and Robert Crown for ages K-6th Grade.<br />

BEACH PARK<br />
Beach Park, a 1-acre park located on the shores of Bangs Lake, holds the District’s<br />
marina operations and is home to the only public beach on the lake. The District<br />
offers swim lessons and “open swim” during the summer months. The beach is<br />
staffed by American Red Cross certified lifeguards.<br />
NISRA<br />
The <strong>Wauconda</strong> Park District is one of 13 member districts of Northern Illinois<br />
Special Recreation Association (NISRA). NISRA staff assist <strong>Wauconda</strong> Park District<br />
staff with including residents with disabilities in our recreation programs. Types<br />
of support may include staff training, adapted equipment, sign language<br />
assistance, or a program aide.<br />
