Computing support<br />
There are numerous computer labs for your use throughout<br />
the campus. All students have internet and email access and<br />
the campus has extensive wireless access.<br />
i<strong>Flinders</strong><br />
Our student portal at i.fl inders.edu.au enables you <strong>to</strong> access<br />
course materials and resources, enrol or withdraw from<br />
<strong>to</strong>pics, check your email, and keep up-<strong>to</strong>-date with <strong>University</strong>wide<br />
announcements.<br />
Health and counselling<br />
Our Health Service is a fully equipped and accredited Medical<br />
Centre providing a wide range of medical services. Male and<br />
female medical practitioners are available by appointment. All<br />
consultations are confi dential and services are bulk-billed for<br />
Medicare card holders. The free and confi dential Counselling<br />
Service assists students who may be experiencing diffi culties<br />
studying due <strong>to</strong> personal or social problems. Counsellors<br />
are available <strong>to</strong> talk <strong>to</strong> you about issues relating <strong>to</strong> study,<br />
relationships, family, or specifi c learning disabilities. Whatever<br />
your health and counselling needs, our psychologists and social<br />
workers can help you get back on track.<br />
Disability support<br />
We are committed <strong>to</strong> providing access and equity for students<br />
with disabilities and helping everyone fully participate in the<br />
academic, cultural and social life at <strong>Flinders</strong>. Our Disability<br />
Advisors provide a free, confi dential service and are the<br />
fi rst point of contact for students who may need assistance<br />
because of their disability. They are here <strong>to</strong> help you better<br />
access <strong>university</strong> study, act as advocates on behalf of<br />
individuals or groups, and liaise with lecturers <strong>to</strong> negotiate<br />
reasonable adjustments <strong>to</strong> teaching or assessment methods.<br />
Childcare<br />
If you have children under school age, childcare is available at<br />
<strong>Flinders</strong> <strong>University</strong> Childcare Centre. Community-based and not-forprofi<br />
t, the centre has attained the highest level of accreditation.<br />
The experienced and qualifi ed staff offer exceptional care and<br />
education in a caring and stimulating environment.<br />
