Students find happiness behind its door.<br />
The United Campus Ministry, formerly the Wesley<br />
Foundation, is an ecumenical ministry uniting the Wesley<br />
Foundation <strong>of</strong> the Methodist Church and the United<br />
Campus Christian Fellowship <strong>of</strong> the Disciples <strong>of</strong> Christ,<br />
the Evangelical United Brethren, Moravian, United<br />
Presbyterian Church USA, and the United Church <strong>of</strong><br />
Christ churches.<br />
This year marked the establishment <strong>of</strong> a campus center,<br />
across from the school library. Retreats; study<br />
groups; the Heretics' Club; and the Covenant Players,<br />
a religious drama group, characterized activities at the<br />
Center. Some <strong>of</strong> the programs were concerned with<br />
"Understanding Death", "The Morality <strong>of</strong> Scientific Discovery",<br />
and the films "Parable" and "Abandon Ship".<br />
The ministry shared by students, faculty, administration,<br />
and the campus pastor, the Rev. Gary Putnam,<br />
seeks to express the presence <strong>of</strong> a Christian community<br />
in the life <strong>of</strong> the university.
