The La Crosse State Indians rolled to a 6-3
won and loss record this year and placed fourth
in the Wisconsin State University Conference.
The Indians romped past Platteville, UWM,
Stout, Superior, and Eau Claire. The three defeats
suffered by the Indians were at the hands
of Stevens Point, River Falls, and Whitewater.
In the exciting Homecoming game against
Stout, the Indians had to overcome a 7-3 half
time deficit and did so with a Turnquist to Steensrud
touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. The
team managed to score another TD in the last
second of the game to earn the final 16-7 win
over the Stout Bluedevils.
