One <strong>of</strong> the many services WSO performs on campus is ushering<br />

for the various plays and concerts. Cheryl Fisher greets National Gamma Sigma Sigma President,<br />

Charlotte Mendoza, at a tea during the W.S.O. Convention <strong>of</strong><br />

which W.S.U.-L was host.<br />

Women's Service Organization<br />

The Women's Service Organization is now a<br />

probationary colony <strong>of</strong> Gamma Sigma Sigma, the<br />

National \Vomen's Service Sorority. The motto <strong>of</strong><br />

the sorority is "Unity in Service" and its colors<br />

are maroon and white which symbolizes friendship<br />

and equality. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the sorority if<br />

to assemble college and university women in a<br />

spirit <strong>of</strong> service to humanity. It is based on the<br />

high ideals <strong>of</strong> service, not only on campus but<br />

in the community and national affairs as well.<br />

On campus Gamma Sigma Sigma assists with<br />

ushering, campus tours, the bloodmobile, proctoring<br />

for exams, assembling the activity calendar,<br />

and other respective services.<br />
