The Fledgling provides an opportunity for student
writers to see their works printed and a
chance for students to try their hand at being editors.
The purpose of the Fledgling is to encourage
creative writing.
This magazine is a student operated enterprise.
From student writings submitted, student staff
members select what material is best and make
Fledgling
the necessary arrangements to get the material
printed and distributed to the student body. Once
printed, the Fledgling is put on sale in the Student
Union Book Store and in the library, on a selfservice
basis.
Two issues of the Fledgling are intended to be
printed this year, one issue devoted to student art
and student writings.
