The spring guide rod consists of the front and rear parts which are joined by a pin. On<br />
the rear there is a shoulder against which the driving spring rests. The support plate<br />
serves to reduce the impact of the slide frame in the rear position. The plate slips onto<br />
the rear end of the spring guide rod and is fastened from behind with a cap. The cap is<br />
fastened on the rear end of the spring guide rod with a pin and serves to stabilize the<br />
support plate; and it also serves as a lug for joining the operating rod to the receiver<br />
frame. The support plate has a hole for bore sighting when testing the accuracy and<br />
precision of the machinegun.<br />
