Remove the Operating Rod Assembly (Driving Spring and Guide Rod): Maintaining<br />
the feed tray cover and feed tray raised, leave the sliding cam and piston (cartridge<br />
space gripper and bolt) in the forward position. Grasp the operating rod assembly;<br />
pushing forward, easing the operating rod assembly upward and out of the weapon (see<br />
figures 4-5 to 4-7).<br />
