Standing high above the rooftops of Weingarten is Germany‘s<br />
largest baroque basilica, known affectionately as Swabia’s answer<br />
to St. Peter’s, Rome. Inside is the world-famous 18th-century<br />
Gabler organ, with its 7,000 pipes, as well as the relic of the<br />
Precious Blood. But Weingarten offers its guests so much more.<br />
Entertainment includes comedy, drama, opera and ballet; there’s<br />
fine shopping in the lanes in the town centre, as well as leisurely<br />
walks through the surrounding meadows and woods.<br />
